KKRF
KKRF (107.9 FM) is a commercial radio station serving Stuart, Iowa. It broadcasts a Real Country format and is owned by M&M Broadcasting, Inc. Its sister stations are KDLS and KGRA.
Technical details: KKRF broadcasts on 107.9 MHz with an effective radiated power of 9,400 watts. It has a height above average terrain of 150 meters (492 feet) and is classified as a Class C3 station. The transmitter sits northeast of the intersection of 130th Street and Lewis Avenue in Adair County, about 3.4 miles southeast of Casey, Iowa.
History and ownership: The station began as KAGD in 1992 and changed to KKRF on July 1, 1993, with its first air date on August 11, 1993. In 2012, Coon Valley Communications (owned by Patrick Delaney, who also owned KDLS and KGRA) sold the station to Mel Suhr's M&M Broadcasting, Inc. M&M also owns KRLS 92.1 FM and KNIA 1320 AM in Knoxville, and Home Broadcasting, which owns KCII AM/FM in Washington. In 2025, John and Jen McGee of McGee Management Services became owners of Raccoon Valley Radio, which includes KKRF alongside KDLS and KGRA.
