Charaxes cedreatis, the green demon charaxes, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family.

Where it lives
- Found across many African countries: Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Bioko, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, southern Sudan, northern Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, southwestern Kenya, western Tanzania, and northwestern Zambia.
- Habitats include evergreen forests, Brachystegia (Miombo) woodland, and riverine forests.

What it looks like
- The male has a greenish sheen on the basal third of the upperside of the forewing.
- Females come in several forms. A common khaki-colored female mimics the females of larger species such as tiridates, numenes, and bipunctatus (a phenomenon known as Swynnertonian mimicry). There may be other female forms not yet linked to cedreatis.

Life and feeding
- The caterpillars feed on a variety of plants: Albizia brownei, Albizia grandibracteata, Albizia zygia, Griffonia simplicifolia, Annona senegalensis, Dalbergia lactea, and Scutia myrtina.

Notes
- Charaxes cedreatis belongs to the Charaxes etheocles group of butterflies. It is adapted to forest and woodland habitats and shows notable variation between males and females.
