Colaranea viriditas is a small orb-weaving spider native to New Zealand. It belongs to the Araneidae family. The species was first described in 1887 by Arthur Urquhart as Epeira viriditas from a female collected in Te Karaka, and in 1988 it was placed in the Colaranea genus. The holotype is kept at Canterbury Museum.

Females measure about 5.7 mm, and males about 5.2 mm. They have a carapace and legs that range from dark to yellowish brown, with the abdomen mostly bright green on the top side and brown on the rest.

Colaranea viriditas is found across New Zealand, including the Chatham Islands, and is listed as Not Threatened under the New Zealand Threat Classification System.
