Juan Pablo Terra
Juan Pablo Terra (1924–1991) was a Uruguayan architect, sociologist, and politician. His father, Horacio Terra Arocena, was a senator, and his great-uncle Gabriel Terra was Uruguay’s president from 1931 to 1938. Terra served as both a deputy and a senator. He started in politics with the Uruguayan Christian Democrats, then helped form and represented the Broad Front (Frente Amplio) in the Senate, playing a leading role in its founding in 1971.
