Fathimath Azifa
Fathimath Azifa (born 28 October 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. She began acting as a child in a TV comedy series and later returned to cinema with Happy Birthday (2009). Since then, she has played in many Maldivian films and earned praise for her performances.
Azifa’s work includes Loodhifa (2011), where her role as Areeka earned her a Gaumee Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and a nomination for Best Actress at the Maldives Film Awards. She has also appeared in Sazaa, Aadheys, Randhari, Malikaa, Naughty 40, Bos, Dhevansoora and 40+, among others. Her performances have been described as powerful and versatile, with several films achieving commercial success and critical acclaim.
On the personal side, Azifa married actor Ahmed Saeed in 2016, and they have a daughter born in 2019. She has been recognized as one of Maldives’ top actresses, ranked by Haveeru in 2012 and by Dho? in 2018.
