John Luke Gallup
John Luke Gallup (born January 16, 1962) is an American economist. He earned his PhD in 1994 from the University of California, Berkeley. From 1996 to 2000, he was a Research Fellow at the Center for International Development at Harvard University. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Fulbright Scholar at the Vietnam University of Commerce in Hanoi. He has worked with Jeffrey Sachs and Andrew Mellinger on geography, and he has been affiliated with Portland State University.
