Joe McPartlin
Joseph James McPartlin (12 June 1938 – 24 October 2013) was a Scottish international rugby union player who played at centre. He was born in West Hartlepool, England, to parents from Glasgow, and studied at Wimbledon College. A three-time Oxford blue, he played for Oxford University and captained the 1962 Varsity match. While still a student, McPartlin earned six caps for Scotland in the Five Nations from 1960 to 1962, scoring no points. After rugby, he taught at St Edward's School in Oxford for 34 years. He died in Oxford in 2013 at the age of 75.
