Pamdenec, New Brunswick
Pamdenec was a small community on the Saint John River in Westfield Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada, located about 1.85 kilometres north of Grand Bay. It had its own post office from 1924 to 1968 and was incorporated as a village in 1966. In 1972, Pamdenec became part of the village of Grand Bay.
The name Pamdenec comes from the Maliseet language and means "little hill." The place was previously called Hillside, a farming community in 1866 with about 75 families.
In 2011, Pamdenec was listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places for its cultural value as the site of a group of summer cottages owned by members of Saint John’s Jewish community from the 1920s to the 1960s.
