John Morgan, known as Jock Morgan, was a Scottish footballer who played as a half back. He was born on 18 August 1889 in Penicuik, Scotland, and died in 1983 (aged 93 or 94).

Morgan began his career with Edinburgh Emmett in Scotland before moving to England in 1924 to join Birmingham, then in the First Division. He played only one league game for Birmingham, deputising for injured Jimmy Cringan and his understudy Bill Hunter.

After a spell with Redditch Town, he joined Doncaster Rovers, where he became a regular in the Third Division North, making 150 league appearances and scoring four goals over four seasons. He then had a brief spell with Bristol City (one league appearance) before moving to Barrow, where he played 66 league games. Short periods followed at Walsall (19) and Southport (10). He also spent time in Ireland with Brideville before returning to non-league football in the English Midlands with Worcester City and Atherstone Town.

Overall, Morgan’s Football League career totaled nearly 250 appearances.
