Niko Kari
Niko Petteri Kari, born 6 October 1999 in Hyvinkää, Finland, is a Finnish former racing driver. He began karting in 2009 and moved to car racing in 2015, winning the SMP F4 Championship in his first year. Kari spent the following years climbing the junior ranks in Europe, racing in GP3 and European Formula 3, and he was briefly part of the Red Bull Junior Team.
In 2018 he made his FIA Formula 2 debut with MP Motorsport for the final part of the season. The next year he competed in FIA Formula 3 with Trident, achieving two podiums (both third place) in Barcelona and Sochi and finishing 12th in the standings with 36 points.
In 2020 he switched to endurance racing, joining EuroInternational in the European Le Mans Series in the LMP3 class, where the team finished fourth in the class with a series of solid results.
Kari returned to FIA Formula 3 in 2022 with Jenzer Motorsport for the Bahrain round, finishing 26th and 14th before being replaced. Overall, Kari’s career included time as a Red Bull Junior and appearances across several top junior and development series, before stepping away from full-time racing.
