George Irby, 3rd Baron Boston (27 December 1777 – 12 March 1856) was an English nobleman and landowner.

He was born in Mayfair, London, the eldest son of Frederick Irby, 2nd Baron Boston, and Christian Methuen. His baptism on 28 January 1778 had King George III as his sponsor. He was one of 13 children.

He was educated at Eton College and Oxford University, where he earned a Doctor of Civil Laws.

Military service followed. He joined the British Army as a Cornet in the 1st Dragoons in 1794, and was promoted to Major in the 13th Light Dragoons in 1801, retiring later that year.

On his father’s death in 1825, he became the 3rd Baron Boston of Boston, Lincolnshire, and also the 4th Baronet Irby of Whaplode and Boston.

In 1801 he married Rachel Ives Drake at Catton, Norfolk. She died in 1830. They had ten children, including their eldest son, George, who would succeed him as Baron.

George Irby died on 12 March 1856 at Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire, aged 78, and was buried with his family status as Baron Boston.

After their deaths, Rachel and her sister Emily Drake shared much of Jeremiah Ives’s estate, including numerous estates and properties across several counties.
