Point Pass railway station
Point Pass railway station was a small, single‑platform stop on the Robertstown railway line in the Mid North of South Australia, about 123 kilometres from Adelaide. It served the town of Point Pass and handled both passengers and freight. The station opened on 9 December 1914 after a line from Eudunda to Robertstown via Point Pass was built from the Morgan line.
Regular passenger services ended on 23 September 1962, and the station was demolished soon after, though the station sign stayed at the site for some time. The last passenger train to pass Point Pass was on 20 May 1989, operated by Train Tour Promotions with locomotive 804. The final train to pass the station was a grain train departing Robertstown on 21 February 1990, and the line was formally closed on 25 February 1990.
Today there are no remains at the site; the station has been demolished and the sign removed in later years. Coordinates: 34°05′S 139°03′E. It was operated by South Australian Railways (1914–1975) and Australian National (1975–1990).
