Jerry Garcia Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue in McLaren Park, San Francisco. It opened in 1971 and can seat about 1,200 people. Built in 1970 by the San Francisco Recreation Department, it was originally called the McLaren Park Amphitheater.

In 1997, organizers noted the venue wasn’t hosting many shows due to a small stage, limited storage and dressing rooms, and parking. The first Jerry Day on the amphitheater stage was held in 2003, and in July 2005 the city officially renamed the venue Jerry Garcia Amphitheater. Jerry Garcia, who grew up nearby on Harrington Street, gave the area its new name. The rededication ceremony took place on October 29, 2005, with performances by several artists. Today, the site continues to be associated with Jerry Day, a yearly music celebration.
