Madian is a village in Mayureswar I block, Rampurhat subdivision, Birbhum district, West Bengal, India. It lies on National Highway 14, at about 24.07°N, 87.70°E.

Population and people
As of the 2011 census, Madian had 2,626 residents (1,333 males and 1,293 females), with 324 children below 6 years. There were 1,692 literate people, about 73.5% of those over 6.

The village falls under Bolpur Lok Sabha constituency and Mayureswar Vidhan Sabha constituency. Official languages are Bengali and English. The telephone code is 03462.

Education
Turku Hansda-Lapsa Hemram Mahavidyalaya, a co-educational college near Gonpur, was established at Madian in 2006. It is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and offers honours courses in Bengali, Santali, English, history, geography and mathematics.
