Major General Jan Robert Andreas Andersson (born 22 July 1955) is a retired Swedish Air Force officer. He served as Inspector of the Air Force from 2003 to 2008. Earlier, on 1 April 2001, he was promoted to brigadier general and appointed chief of staff and Deputy Chief of the Air Force Command in Uppsala as well as Deputy Inspector General of the Air Force. After leaving the Inspector role in 2008, he became military attaché in Washington, D.C. He retired from the Swedish Armed Forces in 2011 and later worked as Senior Military Advisor at the Swedish Defence and Security Export Agency.

Andersson was born in Västervik, Sweden. At 19 he completed Army Ranger School in Kiruna and took his first flight on the way home from Kiruna. He initially studied to become an engineer but switched to aviation and attended the Swedish Air Force Flying School in Ljungbyhed. After graduating, he served at Norrbotten Wing (F 21). In the mid-1980s he briefly worked as a Linjeflyg pilot but chose to stay in the Air Force. He completed a management course at the Swedish National Defence College from 1987 to 1989. He first flew the Saab JAS 39 Gripen on 23 June 1993 and later became chief of tactical evaluation for the Gripen. He was commanding officer of Skaraborg Wing (F 7) from 1998 to 2001.

Andersson is married to Gunilla, a teacher, and they have two children.
