Jack McKay (footballer, born 1996)
Jack McKay (born 19 November 1996) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a winger for Doncaster City. He was born in Glasgow and is 6 ft 2 in tall. He started at Doncaster Rovers’ academy with his twin brother Paul, making his professional debut for Doncaster in 2014. After a loan to Ilkeston in 2015, he moved to Leeds United in 2016 but did not break into the first team. He had a loan spell at Airdrieonians in 2017, then joined Cardiff City in 2018 and Chesterfield on loan in 2019 before signing for Chesterfield permanently (2019–2021). A brief loan to Blyth Spartans in 2021 and another loan to Airdrieonians followed, then Curzon Ashton in 2021. McKay joined York City in 2021 and helped them win promotion in 2022. He then played for Buxton (2022–23) and Ashton United (2023) before signing for Doncaster City in 2023. At Doncaster City he has been prolific, with 54 appearances and 31 goals as of 1 July 2025. His family is football-connected: father Willie McKay and older brother Mark are football agents, twin brother Paul is also a professional footballer, and he attended Hill House School.
