Hami Syahin
Hami Syahin bin Said, born 16 December 1998 in Singapore, is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder or right-back for Lion City Sailors in the Singapore Premier League and for the Singapore national team. He is 1.66 meters tall and wears number 16.
Club career
Hami began his professional career with the Young Lions in 2015 and later moved to Home United in 2019, where he helped the team in both domestic and AFC Cup competitions. He returned to the Young Lions for 2020–2021 during his national service and joined Lion City Sailors in 2022. With the Sailors, he helped win the 2023 Singapore Cup and has been a regular presence, including standout moments in the AFC Champions League Two era.
Notable moments include scoring a long-range volley for Home United in the 2019 AFC Cup and converting the decisive penalty in the 2019 Singapore Community Shield. In 2024 he marked his 50th appearance for Lion City Sailors, and in 2025 he played in the AFC Champions League Two final, helping the Sailors finish as runners-up. He also delivered a key assist for a late winner against Persib Bandung in the 2025 ACL Two group stage.
International career
Hami made his official Singapore debut on 5 September 2019 in a 2–2 draw with Yemen. He has represented Singapore at the U19 and U22 levels and has been part of the senior national team since 2019. He captained Singapore in a friendly against Chinese Taipei on 18 November 2024. He has been part of squads for regional tournaments such as the AFF Championship and the Tri-Nations Series.
