Iso-THIP

Iso-THIP (also called isoTHIP or Isogaboxadol) is a chemical that blocks the GABAA-ρ receptor (also known as GABAC). It is a selective and potent antagonist for this receptor, about four times stronger than gaboxadol (THIP) at blocking GABAA-ρ. It also has much weaker affinity for the GABAA receptor, where it acts as an antagonist as well. Iso-THIP was first described in 1979 by Povl Krogsgaard-Larsen and colleagues.
