International Society of Technology in Arthroplasty
ISTA is a global organization focused on new technologies in arthroplasty (joint replacement). Its first meeting was in Berlin in 1987, and it has met every year since, alternating between the United States and Europe. It was originally named the International Society for the Study of Custom Prostheses (ISSCP) and changed its name to the International Society of Technology in Arthroplasty in 1994.
