Germán Trejo is a Mexican-American political consultant and the president of Battleground Solutions, a firm that works with Democratic candidates and progressive nonprofits. He was born in Morelia, Mexico, and moved to the United States in 1998. He studied at Ohio State University, initially in architecture but later in political science and international studies, graduating in 2004. At Ohio State he was vice president of the Council of Hispanic Organization, ran unsuccessfully for vice president of the Undergraduate Student Government, and co-chaired the Underrepresented Constituency Committee.

From 2006 to 2009 he served as an unpaid adviser to the Mexican government's Institute of Mexicans Abroad. Trejo has worked on three presidential campaigns: Wisconsin in 2004, Ohio in 2008, and Florida in 2012. In 2004 he was the Hispanic Outreach Director for Kerry-Edwards in Wisconsin. By 2007 he was the southeastern Ohio director of the Ohio Democratic Party.

In 2009 he was involved with Centro Mexicano, a proposed Columbus, Ohio community center to house a Mexican consulate, a Latino training center, and a business services center. He promoted the center as a nonprofit, but it had not been registered as such with the state, and investors were reportedly told it was financially secure. About seven months after its planned opening, the center filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, listing $615 in assets and over $168,000 in debts.

In 2011 Trejo founded G&T Consulting to work with Latino Democratic candidates. Since 2013 he has led Battleground Solutions and joined the board of Democracy Win in 2013.
