Watson was a Windows program developed by Intellext and released in 2005. It read what you were working on and used pattern recognition to proactively show you relevant documents. It demonstrated a simple, context-aware way to deliver information. In 2006, Intellext announced that MIVA could display targeted ads to Watson users. A few years later, Intelltext was bought by MediaRiver, which used the Watson engine in its ClickSurge product. Watson is no longer supported.
