Industry is a small village in southern McDonough County, Illinois. As of 2020, about 399 people live there, down from 478 in 2010. The village covers about 0.46 square miles, all land. U.S. Route 67 runs through Industry as Main Street, linking it 12 miles north to Macomb, the county seat, and 15 miles south to Rushville. The area drains into Grindstone Creek, a tributary of the La Moine River, which eventually reaches the Illinois River. Industry is part of Schuyler-Industry Community Unit School District 5; students attend Washington Elementary and Webster Elementary in Rushville, Schuyler-Industry Middle School, and Rushville-Industry High School.
