Ian Loughrey Palmer (11 April 1921 – 22 September 2005) was an Australian rules footballer who played for South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Born in Kyneton, Victoria, he came from Mount Carmel Old Collegians, was 180 cm tall and weighed 81 kg. Palmer played one game for South Melbourne in 1941. He enlisted in the Australian Army in 1942 and served in Darwin and Borneo during World War II. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 84.
