Hypericum cistifolium
Hypericum cistifolium is a shrub in the Hypericaceae family, native to the southeastern United States. It grows about 0.2–0.9 meters tall. The leaves are simple, opposite, sessile, with smooth edges, and shaped from oblong to lanceolate. It has yellow flowers with five petals that bloom from June to August. The plant ranges from eastern North Carolina to South Florida and west to eastern Texas, and it grows in pine savannas and wet pine flatwoods.
