Alyssa Leonardo
Alyssa Ysabel Leonardo (born 15 September 1997) is a Filipino badminton player from Meycauayan, Bulacan. She started playing as a child, enjoying time with her parents and friends. At age 8 she began competing in local tournaments. She studied at IUF Academy of Bulacan and later pursued sports management at De La Salle University, where she played for the La Salle badminton team in national events.
She made her debut for the Philippines at the SEA Games in 2017. In 2022, under coach Rosman Razak, she won her first senior international title in mixed doubles at the Cameroon International. In the following tournament in Benin, she won two titles: mixed doubles with Alvin Morada and women's doubles with Thea Pomar.
In 2023, she competed at the SEA Games in Cambodia as part of the Philippines women's team, helping the team beat Malaysia in the quarterfinals and advance to the semifinals.
Her events are women's doubles and mixed doubles. Her highest world rankings are No. 94 in women's doubles with Thea Pomar (13 June 2023) and No. 61 in mixed doubles with Alvin Morada (25 July 2023).
