Huntington Lake is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It sits on the west end of Huntington Lake, about 2 miles north of Big Creek, at an elevation of 7,027 feet (2,142 meters). The Basin post office started in 1913 and was renamed Huntington Lake in 1916. The area is part of the US Forest Service Recreation Residences program.

In summer, the area has warm but not hot, dry days. Typical daytime highs are 75–85°F (24–29°C), occasionally up to 90°F (32°C). Lake breezes help keep temperatures comfortable. Nights are cool, usually 40–50°F (4–10°C). Summer days are usually clear, with afternoon thunderstorms that can bring hail or even snow.

Winters are cool and often near freezing. Snow is common, averaging about 12 inches (30 cm) per year.
