SAAF School Cricket Series
SAAF School Cricket Series is Nepal’s annual high school cricket championship organized by the Student Athletic Activities Foundation (SAAF). It uses Twenty20 cricket. The first edition was held in Kathmandu from December 31, 2014 to January 7, 2015, with eight teams from seven high schools. It was called the WAI WAI School Cricket Series 2014 after its main sponsor. A total of 20 matches were played: 16 at Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya Ground in Bhaktapur and 4 at Engineering Campus Ground in Lalitpur. The eight teams were split into two groups of four; each group played a round-robin. The top two teams from each group moved to the playoffs for first place to determine the top four finishers, while the bottom two from each group played in the fifth-place playoffs. The series has continued since 2014, with the latest edition in 2019.
