Hospoda (Pub) is a Czech comedy TV series that aired on TV Nova from 1996 to 1997. The show ran for 2 seasons and 52 half-hour episodes. It was filmed at Barrandov Studios in Prague using a multi-camera setup. Hospoda was TV Nova’s second sitcom, after Nováci. Many well-known Czech actors appear in the episodes. The stories follow ordinary people who meet in a pub—a pub owner, a businessman, a heating technician, a psychiatrist, a lawyer, a chef and others—sharing a beer and dealing with everyday life.
