Montireau
Montireau is a small commune in northern France, in the Eure-et-Loir department of the Centre-Val de Loire region. It sits in the Nogent-le-Rotrou area and is part of the Terres de Perche intercommunality.
The town covers 110.1 square kilometers and had 136 residents in 2023, a density of about 13.5 people per square kilometer. Elevation ranges from 217 to 282 meters above sea level.
The current mayor is Jacques Henry, serving the 2020–2026 term. Montireau is part of a large Natura 2000 conservation area called Forêts et étangs du Perche, which spans 47,681 hectares and includes parts of the local forests and ponds.
