Hootan Dolati (born February 4, 1977, in Tehran) is an Iranian political activist and member of the National Front. He is of Talysh ethnicity and worked as an engineer and journalist before his arrest.

On March 15, 2013, he was arrested for “propaganda against the state” and “membership in a banned group.” He was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and banned from joining any political party or social group for five years.

Dolati spent about a year and a half in Tehran’s Evin Prison. He was denied medical treatment for a chronic heart condition and began a hunger strike on November 28, 2013. He was released on September 6, 2014.
