Lieutenant General Brian Ashley “Ash” Power AO CSC (born 20 January 1957) is a retired senior Australian Army officer who served as Chief of Joint Operations from 2011 to 2014.

Power was born in Wangaratta, Victoria, and joined the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1975, graduating in 1978 to join the Royal Australian Artillery. He commanded the 4th Field Regiment and earned the Conspicuous Service Cross in 1998. He taught at the School of Artillery, Duntroon, and at Sandhurst, and studied in Bangkok.

In 1998 he served as Chief of Staff on Bougainville (Operation Belisi), and in 1999 was Colonel Operations for INTERFET in East Timor. He was Defence Attaché to Thailand in 2000.

Promoted to brigadier in 2002, he commanded the 1st Brigade, and as major general in 2005 took command of the 1st Division. He became a Member of the Order of Australia in 2006 and Commander of Joint Task Force 636 later that year. He led Exercise Talisman Sabre 2007 and then commanded Training Command, Army.

In 2011 Power was promoted to lieutenant general and became Chief of Joint Operations at Headquarters Joint Operations Command. He was made an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2012. He has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, East Timor and Bougainville. He married Narelle in 1978 and they have two daughters.
