Hisanohama Station
Hisanohama Station (久ノ浜駅) is a JR East railway station in Hisanohama-cho, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. It sits on the Jōban Line, about 224 kilometers from Nippori Station, and lies between Yotsukura and Suetsugi stations. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks, connected by a footbridge, and is unstaffed.
Hisanohama Station opened on August 29, 1897. It became part of JR East when the Japanese National Railways was privatized on April 1, 1987. After the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in March 2011, train services beyond Tomioka were replaced by buses from March 11 to October 10, 2011; rail service beyond Tomioka did not resume until March 2020. The station became unstaffed on March 14, 2020. In fiscal 2018, the station was used by an average of 182 passengers daily (boarding only).
