Heptapleurum polycladum is a plant species in the Araliaceae family, found only in Papua New Guinea. It is a scrambling tree that reaches 4 to 15 meters tall. The plant is likely pollinated by insects, and birds help spread its fruit and seeds. It has been known by the name Schefflera polyclada.

This species is known from the eastern New Guinea Highlands near Mount Suckling, Mount Dayman, and Mount Simpson, close to the Milne Bay, Oro, and Central provinces. It grows at the edge of upper montane or sub-alpine forests from about 1,175 to 2,440 meters in elevation, and possibly higher than 3,000 meters.

Its habitats include montane grassland, mossy forests at grassland edges, and ridge forests with Araucaria cunninghamii. The conservation status is Least Concern (IUCN 3.1).
