Henry Sojor

Henry A. Sojor was the first president of Negros Oriental State University (formerly Central Visayas Polytechnic College). Under his leadership, the university expanded to multiple campuses: Main Campuses I & II in Dumaguete City; Pamplona Farm; Bais City Campuses I & II; Guihulngan City; Mabinay Campus; Siaton Campus; and Sta. Catalina‑Bayawan Campus. He also served as the Officer‑in‑Charge president of Jose Rizal Memorial State University in Zamboanga del Norte. Sojor earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Silliman University in 1977 and is a Fellow of the International Advisory Council of the Royal Institute of Education in Singapore.
