Heavenly Action
Heavely Action is a song by the English synth‑pop duo Erasure. It was released on 11 November 1985 as their second single and later appeared on their debut album Wonderland (1986). The mid‑tempo love song was written by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell and produced by Flood. It was issued by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the US, with B-sides including “Don’t Say No” and “My Heart… So Blue.” The music video, directed by John Scarlett Davies, shows Clarke and Bell in a celestial, outer‑space setting with children dressed as angels. In the UK, the single reached No. 100 on the chart. In the US, the 12‑inch version was paired with “Who Needs Love Like That” as a double A‑side and reached No. 8 on the US Hot Dance/Club Play chart. The track was later included on Wonderland. An AllMusic review noted that while the songs aren’t the strongest on the album, they fit its overall style.
