Harry Feather
Harry Feather (birth and death unknown) was an English professional rugby league forward who played in the early 1900s. He spent most of his career with Bradford FC from 1898 to 1907, and then played for Bradford Northern from 1907 to 1913. He made hundreds of appearances for his clubs, scoring tries and goals along the way.
Feather also played at representative level. He represented Yorkshire in 1901–02 and earned one England cap in 1905, in a match against Other Nationalities.
He made his Bradford FC debut in October 1898. In the 1903–04 season he was a non-playing substitute in Bradford’s 5–0 Championship tiebreaker win over Salford. In the 1905–06 season he played in Bradford’s 5–0 victory over Salford in the Challenge Cup Final at Headingley, but was sent off for fighting with Salford’s Silas Warwick.
A joint benefit match was arranged by Bradford for Feather and teammate Jack Haley on New Year’s Day 1924 against Keighley.
Note: some records list his initials as J. Feather.
