Hafedh Zouabi
Hafedh Zouabi, born on 7 February 1961 in Kairouan, Tunisia, is a Tunisian handball coach who has led Club Africain and the Tunisian national team, among others. As a player, he started with JS Kairouan, reaching the cadets Tunisia Cup final in 1977 and joining the senior team in 1980, where he became a top scorer and helped his team reach the league final. He was called up to Tunisia’s national teams (B in 1981, then A). In 1982 he won the university handball championship with the team from the National Sports Institute, and in 1983–1984 he joined Club Africain, winning several titles.
After earning diplomas in physical education and handball coaching, Zouabi began his coaching career in 1990. He has since coached many teams in Tunisia and abroad, including Jordan and Tunisia’s youth team, and has had multiple spells with Club Africain and the Tunisian national team. He also worked on Tunisia’s preparations for the World Championship in Gdańsk, Poland, as part of the qualification process for the 2016 Olympics.
