HD 216770 b is an exoplanet that orbits the star HD 216770. It has a mass of about 0.65 times that of Jupiter, so it’s roughly two-thirds as massive as Jupiter. The planet is a gas giant with a notably elongated orbit around its star.

It completes an orbit every about 118.5 days and sits, on average, about 0.46 astronomical units from its star. Because its orbit is eccentric, its distance from the star varies from about 0.29 AU at closest approach to about 0.63 AU at farthest.

The planet was discovered on June 30, 2003, by Mayor and colleagues using Doppler spectroscopy from California, United States.
