Gyula Kluger (15 January 1914 – 23 September 1994) was a Hungarian chess master from Sátoraljaújhely. He was the nephew of István Fazekas. He won the 1932 Šluknov tournament and had many strong results in the 1930s and after World War II. In 1953 he finished second in the Hungarian Championship. In 1954 he tied for 10th-12th at Mariánské Lázně (the zonal) and he won the Hastings Challengers in 1956/57. He also did well in Varna (1957) and in Hastings (1957/58). In 1960 he tied for 3rd-5th in Balatonfüred (Asztalos memorial). He played for Hungary in more than 50 international matches and won three gold medals in the Triennial Cups (Budapest 1954 at 6th board; Prague 1955 at 3rd board; Warsaw 1956 at 5th board), for both team and individual performance. He took part in two Chess Olympiads and was part of the bronze-medal winning team at the European Chess Team Championship in Hamburg in 1965. He earned the Czech master title in 1932, the Hungarian master title in 1935, and the International Master (IM) title in 1954.
