Group TAC Co., Ltd. was a Japanese animation and computer graphics studio based in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was founded in 1968 by Atsumi Tashiro, Susumu Aketagawa, Gisaburō Sugii, and Tomita, drawing on former Mushi Pro staff. The studio worked on movies, TV shows, videos, and commercials, and handled many production tasks from planning to sound effects. Atsumi Tashiro led the company until his death in July 2010. Group TAC became defunct on August 31, 2010, filing for bankruptcy and liquidating its assets in September 2010. After a split, the animation studio Diomedéa was formed. Hana Kappa, a remaining project, was taken over by OLM, Inc. and XEBEC. Group TAC also ran a subsidiary called Group TAC Digital Room (2000–2007).
