Sapporo Racecourse
Sapporo Racecourse, also known as Sapporo Keibajo, is a horse racing venue in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. It is run by the Japan Racing Association and opened in 1907. The facility seats about 12,000 people and can hold up to 30,000 spectators in total. It hosts one Grade 2 race, the Sapporo Kinen.
Races are held on two tracks: a main turf course and a dirt oval. On both surfaces, races range in distance from 1000 meters to 2600 meters.
The site is designated as a wide-area evacuation site and can serve as an evacuation shelter in case of a large-scale fire.
