Greg Loveridge
Greg Riaka Loveridge, born 15 January 1975 in Palmerston North, New Zealand, is a former cricketer who played for New Zealand. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm leg-spin bowler, mainly used as a bowler.
In January 1996, he played his only Test match for New Zealand against Zimbabwe. He batted in the first innings and fractured a knuckle, which left him unable to bowl and led to him retiring hurt on debut.
At domestic level, Loveridge played for Central Districts from 1994/95 to 2002/03. He also played for Cambridge University in England during 1998–1999 and represented Manawatu in the Hawke Cup. In first-class cricket, he appeared in 29 matches, scored 935 runs with a top score of 126, and took 46 wickets. In List A cricket, he played 25 matches, scoring 326 runs and taking 21 wickets.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Cambridge University and a master’s in history from Massey University, completed in 2003. He is now the general manager of Robert Jones Holdings, a New Zealand property company.
