Gerrhonotus liocephalus, known as the Texas alligator lizard or Wiegmann's alligator lizard (la culebra con pata in Spanish), is a reptile in the Anguidae family. It is native to Texas, parts of Mexico, and Guatemala and is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.

This lizard is mainly terrestrial and prefers forests and shrublands. It moves around on the ground and eats mostly insects.

Gerrhonotus liocephalus lays eggs (oviparous). There are three recognized subspecies, including the nominotypical subspecies and G. liocephalus loweryi, the latter named in honor of American ornithologist George Hines Lowery, Jr.
