German International School Boston
German International School Boston (GISB) is a private, bilingual German-English international school in Boston, Massachusetts. It is located at 57 Holton Street and serves over 300 students from preschool (starting around age 3) through 12th grade. The school was founded in 2001 as German School Boston and later renamed German International School Boston; it moved to its current campus in 2006.
Graduates earn the German International Abitur along with a U.S. high school diploma.
GISB was recognized in 2011 as Exzellente Auslandsschule (German School Abroad of Excellence), the highest accreditation level from German authorities. It is an Affiliate Member of the Association of Independent Schools of New England. In the 2015–2016 school year, GISB was designated a STEM-friendly school and joined a network of German schools with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and math.
