Gerhard of Nassau (Gerhard von Nassau) was a Catholic clergyman from the House of Nassau. His exact birth date is unknown, and he died between 7 April 1312 and 20 September 1314. He is thought to be the first Nassau who lived in the Netherlands. He was the fifth son of Count Henry II of Nassau and Matilda of Guelders and Zutphen, who was the daughter of Otto I of Guelders and Zutphen and Richardis of Bavaria. He is first mentioned in a charter from 1247 and spent his life in the church, holding several ecclesiastical offices. His death was commemorated in Aachen on 2 May and in Liège on 6 June, and he was buried in front of the altar of Saint Nicholas in Aachen Cathedral.
