Pro-Wrestling Summit in Korakuen
Pro-Wrestling Summit in Korakuen was a joint Japanese pro-wrestling show held on December 31, 2007, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. It was co-produced by Apache Pro-Wrestling Army, Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT), International Wrestling Association of Japan (IWA Japan), Kaientai Dojo (K-Dojo), Michinoku Pro Wrestling (M-Pro), and Osaka Pro Wrestling (OPW). Wrestlers from other promotions such as All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), Dragon Gate, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max, and WMF also took part. The show featured nine matches, built around scripted storylines with heroes and villains.
The main event was a six-man tag team match: Shuji Kondo (El Dorado), Yoshihito Sasaki (Zero1), and Daisuke Sekimoto (BJW) vs Kengo Mashimo (K-Dojo), Harashima (DDT), and Tetsuhiro Kuroda (Apache).
Attendance for the Korakuen Hall event was 2,008. The Pro-Wrestling Summit concept began after the success of the 2006 Indy Summit, with Taka Michinoku organizing a Pro-Wrestling Summit Committee to arrange more joint shows. Summits were held in Osaka and Ariake before returning to Korakuen Hall on New Year’s Eve, continuing the December 31 Korakuen Hall tradition. The event was broadcast on Samurai! TV and Gaora.
