Fulton Building

The Fulton Building is a historic building in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Located at 107 Sixth Street, it was built in 1906 and designed by Grosvenor Atterbury in the Italian Renaissance style. The project was funded by industrialist Henry Phipps and the building was named after inventor Robert Fulton. On May 26, 1943, it hosted the United States’ first night court for gasoline ration violations. Since 2001, it has housed the Renaissance Hotel. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 10, 2002, and was designated a Pittsburgh Landmark by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation in 2003.
