Friedrich von Boetticher
Friedrich von Boetticher (14 October 1881 – 28 September 1967) was a German military officer. Born in Berthelsdorf, Kingdom of Saxony, he served on the staff of Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg during World War I and later commanded the military training academy at Jüterbog. From 1933 to 1941 he was the German military attaché in Washington, D.C., where he sent intelligence reports to Berlin about the U.S. isolationist movement and the state of U.S. military readiness before Pearl Harbor. He was married to Olga von Wirsing, and they had three children: Friedrich Heinrich, Adelheid, and Hildegard. He died in Bielefeld, West Germany.
