Fox & Goose Public House is a British pub, restaurant, and music venue in Sacramento, California. Located at 1001 R Street, it opened in 1975 in an old Fuller Paint and Glass Company building. The Dalton family—Bill and Denise Dalton—founded the pub, which is named after Bill Dalton’s hometown pub in Hebden Bridge, England. The building was built in 1913. Allyson Dalton owned it from 1995 to 2015, and Peter Monson, a longtime employee, has run it since 2015. The venue hosts a weekly open mic night, a pub quiz, and free music on weekends. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes like quiche, corned beef hash, smoked salmon, omelets, waffles, pancakes, French toast, fish and chips, bangers and mash, olallieberry scones, salads, burgers, sandwiches, shepherd’s pie, and chicken tikka masala.
