Liu Jixian
Liu Jixian (Chinese: 刘继贤; born October 1948) is a Chinese military scholar and former lieutenant general of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). He was born in Xiangyin, Hunan.
He began his career in the PLA Navy, serving on ships and in various posts at the squadron, water police district, naval base, and fleet headquarters levels. He later moved to the PLA Academy of Military Sciences, where he held many roles: secretary of the General Office; deputy director and director of the Organization and Planning Division; deputy head of the Scientific Research Guidance Department; director of the Military Encyclopedia Research Department; director of the Force Development Research Department; and head of the Scientific Research Guidance Department.
From 2007 to December 2011, he served as vice president of the Academy of Military Sciences. He was promoted to lieutenant general in July 2008. In addition to his military work, he served as a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and as a vice president of the China Law Society.
